At this point, I'd rather my child would learn to love the stories and become familiar with them. And when he gets older we can move into versions of Shakespeare that have the original language. As much as I think getting children used to reading the older and original language is beneficial and a great thing, I think the original language will be much easier later on if he is already familiar with the storylines.
